About the Book

One sunny spring morning while looking out my window, what do I see? A big, beautiful, fluffy gray cat! The cat was rubbing on my catnip plant and loving it! The second I stepped out the door to greet the cat, he ran off like a shot. Where did he go? Does he have a home? Months later to my surprise, the big, beautiful, fluffy gray cat was back. Oh no, what happened? Now he is very skinny. Is the cat sick? Did he get hurt? Slowly, this big, beautiful, fluffy gray cat starts to trust me. I can feed him, I cat sit near him, and pretty soon, I love him But the question is, does this kitty have a home? Or will my mom let me adopt him? Find out in the The Big, Beautiful, Fluffy Gray Cat, a true story, of an animal rescue. This book is written in hope of being able to do my part in raising awareness and to educate the public about the important issues of animal homelessness by starting at the best place ~ children! About the Author

Adriana Perciballi lives in Smithtown where she cares for her cats as well as a cat colony known as her adopted kitties. She is a mortgage broker by day and animal lover by day and night. Adriana volunteers for Best Friends, a national organization whose mission is to bring about a time where there are no more homeless pets. She also volunteers for her local animal shelter and assists in local cat colony T-N-R (trap, neuter and return) to help reduce the number of homeless cats. When she is not caring for the animals she enjoys crocheting, knitting, crafting and gardening. Her goal is to write a series of children's books from her real life experiences of the special and loving moments with her pet cats, all rescues too and the cat colony she cares for. Everyday they warm her heart and she does not regret a moment. The funds raised from the sale of these books will help to further the efforts of T-N-R, caring for the cat colonies and rescuing of homeless animals. Adriana hopes to do her part in raising awareness and to educate the public on the issue of animal homelessness by starting at the best place ~ children!
