Wasn't dating hard enough in high school and college? Nowadays it's harder. Once you reach thirty-five, if have been married and divorced, if you have kids, or a career, and knowledge of the opposite sex, dating is harder. As a grown-up we think we know what dating is about. We should know what is at the end of the process. We know some things about sex and communication and have done it all before. Why do we try to find a relationship and yet ignore what we have learned? Why do we try to use adolescent concepts in an adult world? Why do we think things are not what they are? Chapter 4 Men never really changed their dating mind-set from adolescence to death. Motivation for wanting to date is pretty consistent. Techniques change with knowledge and experience but the why remains constant. For a woman to be successful in finding “The One,” they have to understand and accept why men date. Chapter 2 Connection matters more than anything after the initial attraction brings people together. For the unknowing...liking someone is helpful; it at least provides a road map for some of the issues confronting men in trying to show moments of spontaneity and romantic thought. The connection is what makes a man want to spend time with a woman and to invest himself emotionally in her.
