My heart started to beat so hard I thought my chest would burst wide open. You see, daddy had told me to stop running off to the neighbor‟s house because that puts other people in his family‟s business but I didn‟t listen to him „cause I felt like if he wanted me to stop running to the neighbors then he and momma should stop fighting. This one particular night when daddy got to Mr. Henry‟s property, he found me there safe inside as he would always and said, “Come on let‟s go home,” as he always did as if he had given me permission to be there. Well on the way home as we were walking down the road, my daddy started beating me with his belt in the middle of the street and yelled, “Haven‟t I told you about running off from home?” Too hurt to respond, I just nodded my head with tears rolling down my freshly washed face only to make new tear streaks to wipe away on my own this time. The minute I got home I went into my room and only cried harder, but silently because I didn‟t want another beating. Unfortunately, these types of scenarios went on for many more years to come.

About the Book
The book is dealing with abuse, murder, neglect, and so on. The book is really based on forgiveness. In this book we are trying to reach an audience of all gender, and nationality, to show that forgiveness is important, not only in our walk with GOD but with our walk with each other. We as a people have to learn how to forgive in order to be forgiven.
About the Author
I have always known that I wanted to tell my life story and sought out the best time to do it and found it to be now in 2007. I am married with two children. My husband and I also have three godchildren that we love very much. I have worked as a CNA for many years now and have encountered so many opportunities to help people understand God’s love for them. I am a Christian saved by grace and live everyday with a focus on loving others. Although I keep journals regularly jotting down experiences and thoughts as I live each day, this is my first published book. I have always found writing as a way to release bottled emotions that need somewhere positive to go. I love the art of expressing myself in a way that helps others understand their own lives better. It is important to help others whether it is with clothing, food, wealth or camaraderie; I was taught this way. I have been known to give to others when I required at the same time but I want to live a selfless life. Charitable behavior has put me in a position to make many acquaintances.
