And so it was one day while the lamb played when a snake slithered out from the tall grasses. "What shall I do? "she thought to herself. "If I stay he will surely bite me, and if I run away, he will surely strike me." The lamb had forgotten the lion’s promise. But from across the grassland, the lion, with his keen eyes, could see that the lamb was in trouble. He had not forgotten his promise.
