About the Author

The author was born in India in 1941 in an upper-middle class Hindu family. He had a happy, peaceful and active childhood. He is married with two children. He came to the United States in 1965 and received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University in 1969. Since then, he has been working as a professor of economics at Saginaw Valley State University. He has received many accolades for his academic performance and excellence in teaching and research—both in India and in the U.S. He has published numerous articles in national and international journals, but he has never been more excited about any of his previous works as he was writing this book on “The Religion of God.”
Over the years, the author has given considerable thought to various religious teachings, their connection to God, reality or truth. He has been deeply disturbed by religious propaganda and conflicts. The man-made religions of the world seem to have less to do with spiritualism and more to do with politics, groupism, violence and war. Even the so called educated people have fallen victim to inhumane religious ideologies due to ignorance or fear of punishment. The man-made religions do not seem to have the answers to what is the right thing to do in different situations.
In this author’s opinion, the principles of the “Laws of Nature” is the appropriate guiding light for the universe. “The Religion of God” is manifested through the “Laws of Nature.” It does not matter whether a person believes or does not believe in God. It does not matter which religion a person belongs to, or what they claim to be true. The religion of God was there since the beginning of the creation of the universe. The sooner we understand it, the faster the world would progress toward peace, cooperation and the ultimate survival of humanity.
