About the Book

If the shoe fit, don’t blame me is a collection of poems that focus on the evils of alcohol, drugs, disobedience and irresponsibility to redemption and love. Rosie’s first poem, “At the funeral” tells a story of an individual attending a funeral and is surprised at the young age of the deceased. He begins to take note of some of the grieving mourners as they make their way in; the alcoholic, drug addicts, hypocrite and prostitute; all of whom have had a very negative impact on him because they have all contributed negatively to his demise.

About the Author

Rosie Bryant is a retiree who returned to Brunswick County, North Carolina in 2008 to care for her aging father. She began writing poetry in 2001 when rhyming words began to come into her mind. Her first poem, "At the funeral" frightened her so much she was sure news would be forthcoming that a family member had passed away. To learn more about writing and publishing, she attended a Christian Writers Conference in Hagerstown, Maryland, and has continued writing since. Rosie enjoys working out at her local gym and encourages others to join her. She reads every day, whether it's a newspaper, book, or magazine. She believes that as long as we live there is always something new to be learned.
