The human cats from the planet Purr-sian named Fredericka, Dominique, and Jako have crash landed on Earth. With a flick of their tails, they can change from cats to humans and back again. Though each one has a unique power, together they combine them to perform extraordinary deeds. When they meet Elijah, their purpose on Earth becomes clear. Elijah is a fourteen-year-old orphan who befriends the human cats and trusts them to help solve a crime which he has been falsely accused. Ultimately, champions of truth and justice, the human cats help Elijah to discover the real criminals and clear his name. In the process, they also expose the abusive director of the orphanage from which Elijah has escaped and free the other children from their mistreatment.
