About the Book

This book illustrates the truths found in Paul’s Letter to the Galatians. It is written in plane simple language for working class people of China and now translated in easy to understand English for the people of America and other English speaking countries. It represents the authentic voice of China’s house churches that have been often stifl ed by the Communist Party of China.

About the Author

The author is the noted house church teacher of Christian doctrine, Fang Hongze. Pastor Fang was born in 1918 on the outskirts of Jinan, the provincial capital of Shandong, China. Pastor Fang has spent most of his life farming in the countryside. His formal education was limited to high school. In 1946 he converted to Christianity. Beginning in 2005, moved by the Holy Spirit, he began to write a series of religious tracts. These include: "An Interpretation of the Song of Solomon," "The Love of God the Father," and "An Awakening of the Spirit and Soul," as well as others. These books have all been privately published in China and are available through Pastor Fang church's web site: http://www.lhdsx.com/. These books are not available through book stores in China because Pastor Fang's church is a house church that is not officially sanctioned by the communist party of China. This book represents the voice of Chinese Christians who must still live within the limitations imposed by the Chinese Communist Party, yet it is filled with hope. It is the first of his books to be translated into English. Pastor Fang still lives and preaches via internet in a village located in the Changqing district outside of Jinan. The translator, Roger Noether, received his master degree from National Taiwan University in Chinese Art History and Archaeology and has worked for the US Department of State as a contract translator. From 2007 until 2009 the translator taught at the University of Jinan and at Shanghai University. Currently, the translator is working as a Chinese curriculum developer for the US Defense Language Institute.
