Sevenia the Werecat moved to another tree perch in the blink of her eye. She looked at Sophie - shaking, scared. From there she lowered herself to the ground in the line of the scent leading to where Sophie lay and waited for the approaching dogs. One dog broke off in another direction but one remained, coming towards her. She knew all she would need to do, the sight of her form would be enough. The dog came closer, closer and halted. His growling increased as he raised his head to look at the large female form semi crouched with catlike head, ears, tail, whiskers, fangs. Sevenia hissed through her teeth. The dog whelped and made off bursting past the scruffy man, knocking him to one side, sending the torch into the air and onto the ground. The creature rose again to her perch she should do no more without being discovered. Perhaps she had done too much for Sophie lay motionless and amazed. The grounded torchlight shone directly at her face. The scruffy man and the other dog arrived, minutes later the truck rolled down the track Sophie recaptured.

About the Author
Kenny Morrison is a Senior Manager in the Construction Industry. He lives in Scotland on the edge of the city and glorious countryside of the Highlands within an hours drive. He works with many personalities in business and with his positive attitude believes in his creative ambitions. His work involves constant diversity and much formal and factual writing. He realized that his imagination allows him to be someone else and create individuality in his life. In recent years he has commenced three writing projects. One which is finished, a childrens thriller in Sevenlives and the Woof Pack. He has the beginnings of an adult suspense thriller set in Florence, Italy which has been put to one side in order to work on and complete the second Sevenlives thriller as a follow up to the Woof Pack.
