About the Author

Patricia Ellen Morgan Burchard, known to family and friends as Patti, was born in San Antonio, Texas, and has been married to her high school sweetheart for forty years. She is the mother of one daughter, one son, and the proud Grammie of seven. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of the Incarnate Word, and has taught Bible classes, private school kindergarten, and retired from twenty-two years of public teaching, all in second grade. She now LOVES being a Grammie, sewing, cooking, and is always on the lookout for cows... flying kites!
