The Pros and Cons of God's Destiny Once upon a time Ahmed Ibn Abdullah, who was neither poor nor rich, wanted to know about his destiny whether he would be either poorer or richer in the future. So he decided to go to the forest and set a trap for God to catch Him. When he reached the forest, he set the trap and started waiting under a tree for God to fall into the trap. As God knows everything, He asked Gabriel, the Holy Messenger, to get into the trap, but He told him not to answer any of Ahmed's questions. He added that he had to set an appointment with him in a distant place called Destinyfate Island, which was a few thousand miles away from the forest. So Gabriel obeyed the message of God and got into the trap. When Ahmed saw Gabriel, he thought he was God, and the following conversation took place between them: Ahmed: -Oh! God, I have been waiting for You for so long because I want to know my destiny: will I be poorer or richer in the future? Gabriel: - First of all, I’m not God, nor am I part of Him. I am only His messenger. He sent me to set an appointment for you in a distant place called Destinyfate Island. I will meet you there in five days in order to give you the answer to your enquiry. Therefore, they agreed on meeting each other and Ahmed released him.

About the Book
The Pros and Cons of God’s Destiny was written by a native Moroccan who grew up hearing these beautiful tales of ancient Berber tribes. The story in this book is very simple and concise for children, but with a profound religious philosophy of its inhabitants for adults. By nature, Man is very greedy. On the other hand, he or she is afraid of losing all the belongings that God has granted him. Most middle-class families are worried about whether they will be poorer or richer in the future. Ahmed is the spokesman of the lower middle- class families; he came up with a “crazy idea” of trapping God in order to find out about his future. Ahmed made a long journey which taught him that God judges people according to His Own Judgment, and not always according to what sounds logical to human beings. Whoever is grateful, Allah will give him more blessings, but whoever is arrogant and shows ingratitude, His punishment is serious indeed. Between the two extremes of Judgments, Allah is Merciful to those who are really willing to repent forever. The Pros and Cons of God’s Destiny is a didactic story because it teaches children, as well as adults, that there are only two kinds of people: The grateful and the ungrateful to Allah, but sometimes there is such a small borderline between Hell and Paradise that no one knows who is really Blessed and who is Not …! Nobody knows how to end up there…!
About the Author
PProfessor Said Louahabi was brought up in a religious Islamic family. Both his grandfather and his father memorized the Holy Quran. His father was a very important Imam ( a Muslim religious leader) in Morocco for more than 25 years. Professor Louahabi was born in Morocco on August 24th, 1964. From his father, he learned Islamic Teachings and some unique short stories that have never been heard in other ethnic groups in any part of the world. They were stories that were passed down from generation to generation, but they had never been written down until now. After studying English and American literature, he majored in linguistics at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Morocco. He has been teaching English as a second language since 1987. He speaks seven languages and he is an expert, translator and interpreter for the Mexican Federal High Court. On March 22nd , 2002, he worked as a simultaneous interpreter in classical Arabic Cabin during “The International Conference on Financing For Development in the session “Retreat”, where the Presidents of 39 countries and the king of Jordan participated. The Conference was presided by the President of the United States of Mexico, Mr. Vicente Fox Quesada. Professor Said Louahabi was one of the founders of an Islamic center in Mexico City called “Centro Educativo de la Comunidad Musulmana A.C” He has been the Imam in Mexico City since 1997. For several years, he has been interviewed on religious matters by the mass media in Mexico City. He is now a Mexican citizen and the General Director of his own school known as International Linguistic Communication S.C.
