About the Book
This is Mr. Bennett's fifth book-poem of the Holy Bible; without theologizing this volume has poetically captured and retained the true essence of the "Minor" (lessor) Holy Prophets, and three miracle men: Noah, Jonah, and Job. As in all of his poetry, this is unique in the annals of religious literature. His desire is to complete the entire Holy Bible to poetic meter and rhyme, before the Lord calls him home.
About the Author
While growing up in a God-loving home with his parents attending Church, Sunday school, and Bible study, Mr. Bennett was inspired to write poetry and creative prose about anything and anyone. This began his urge to set excerpts from the Bible to rhythmical rhyme. This then led to writing some hymn lyrics, and a religious operetta called "Operetta Life"; "The Los Angeles City Anthem", and more. The years spent in World War II didn't deter his ambition to further create verse for scriptural comfort and knowledge.
During his last year in college, he met and married the lady of his dreams, Betty, who encouraged him on to write the four Gospels to rhyme, with some parts of it to music. When published, he continued rhyming the remainder of the New Testament, except "The Revelation of St. John".
