About the Book

Almost every poem in this book was written for a particular person or situation. Most were written for friends and co-workers or requested by a loved one. I hope the reader will be able to feel the love and emotion that went into each poem. Thank you....Barb

About the Author

I wrote my first poem forty-eight years ago when my first (of five) children was born. I now have thirteen grandchildren...and have been writing for special occasions. I seldom write generic poems. At this time of my life I write, when requested, by people for certain situations or people. I just retired six months ago so I have had a good market for material and subject matter. I decided it is time to put some of the poems I have written into a book. I have had a wonderful life and I am ready for this new chapter to begin. Life is good and I am blessed! I hope anyone who reads my book will feel the love that went in to each poem. I think that is what poetry is. The feelings in someone's heart....are put into words in a poem.
