About the Author

Irwin Benjamin was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Yeshiva in Williamsburg. After serving two years in the military during the Korean war, he became a court reporter. In 1973 he formed his own court reporting firm, which he managed until he retired in 1998. He has since been teaching and studying Talmud in a Manhattan yeshiva. In 2002 he wrote his first short story. It was published by a religious weekly newspaper. Since then he has written approximately 75 short stories for newspapers and magazines, catering to domestic as well as international readers. He lives with his wife on Long Island.
