About the Author

Nikki Stoddard Schofield is the author of two previous Civil War romances, "Bondage and Freedom" and "Alas Richmond." She is the past president of the Indianapolis Civil War Round Table and is active in Speedway Baptist Church, where she serves as a deacon. A retired law librarian, Ms. Schofield works as the Staff Genealogist at Crown Hill Cemetery, where she also conducts tours. She volunteers at the Indiana State Library, creating finding aids for Civil War documents.
