I unfold my experiences in general terms at first and then in greater detail. I share a particularly essential ‘quantum experience’ with my aunt who passed away about fifteen years ago. This occurrence aided me to develop morally, academically, psychologically and transpersonally. More challenging experiences are also part of my spiritual journey. How I managed and integrate such experiences within ‘shared reality’ is explained. Towards the middle of the book I discuss understandings of the medical model and explain how such viewpoint often debilitates individuals rather than help suffering also is known as ‘spiritual emergencies’ or ‘spiritual crises. I critically discuss unhelpful attitudes to such experiences and contribute by adding ideas to the medical model. Thus, by adding ideas of improvement, rather than rejecting or devaluate the medical model. Partly, I do this by suggesting an introduction of spirituality into the NHS (National Health Services). I critically discuss how calibre psychiatrists can aid and empower individuals with ‘quantum experiences’ rather than simply pathologise or stigmatise. The end of my book illustrates how my unique, and valuable experiences enabled me to develop further and grow both professionally and spiritually. In doing so, I embrace transpersonal psychology into my work. Towards the end of the book I also include important contributions by other mental health professionals. I discuss how their transpernal work aid to our understanding in greater depth. I also introduce philosophical and spiritual ruminations, suggesting empowering and significant change for individuals with ‘Spiritual emergency’ and/or 'spiritual crisis', rather than debilitate them with fear and/or with unnecessary psychiatric interventions. Finally, I open up a discussion asking what is real? and, who decides what is real? Leaving plenty of room for thought…

About the Author
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist working for the NHS and also have my own private practice. I embrace the transpersonal model of psychology and have personal experiences of spirituality and also overwhelming, difficult and fearful experiences that often come with ‘Quantum Experiences’. My book illustrates personal spiritual experiences that are powerful, enriching and challenging. I write about these experiences in greater detail in order to aid the reader comprehend and taste my direct experiences in order to understand my personal and professional approach to life itself. I attempt to explain how my life is understood within transpersonal psychology. In doing so, I elaborate upon understandings of ‘Quantum Experiences’ and discuss personal meanings of such occurrences both psychologically and spiritually.
