Many thoughts ran through head, as they drove back to Siesta Del Sol. Of all the men he had encountered over his lifetime, quiet men like Michael Canon, were the most dangerous. Having been so close to him he could still feel Michael’s calm and deliberate manner. He knew Michael had nothing to lose and wasn’t afraid to die, especially for what he thought was right. He also knew he couldn’t buy him, he couldn’t negotiate with him, could only stop him by eliminating pieces of Michael’s armor.
He had to be careful not to get his own son eliminated in the process. He hadn’t been totally aware of the extent of what his teams had done the year and a half prior. He had entrusted to his son full authority to make their mark on the drug industry in the city, as he controlled all of the other aspects of the operation statewide. He had only come up against an like Michael once before, but he controlled the playing field and quickly eliminated the problem. He didn’t like the feeling of being the hunted. His options were few and weak at most.
Could he idly sit by and wait for Michael to make a mistake? He knew better. He knew the man and now that he had met him, there would be no mistakes.

About the Author
About the Author A Pacific Northwest native and an ex-Navy man, his home is now in Minnesota with his wonderful wife, Phyllis. He’s a writer bringing into play situations that allow the reader an opportunity to reach deep within them, in fiction, to rekindle feelings and hidden emotions lost in the times. He’s an avid golfer and thrives on competition. His spontaneous sense of humor keeps everyone around him very loose. A mechanical designer/draftsman by trade, his common sense approach to work and life makes his writings worth investigation. In 1998, while watching a movie, he made a comment that he could write a better plot than that. Phyllis said, “Why don’t you?” From that moment on, he began writing fiction novels that give you suspense, romance, twists, and plenty of action.
