Who Am I? Who am I, Dear God, that You should care? I so often feel that I am just a speck of dust in Your infinite creation. Yet You have told me that I am special: You know who I am, and You know where I am. You knew me before I was born while I was still in my mother's womb; You have numbered the very hairs of my head. You have given me a heart to know You, and You hold me close to Your Sacred Heart. Help me never to forget these many blessings, And someday guide me into Your everlasting arms For all eternity.

About the Book
Many of us, when we approach what we consider our "dotage" or our "later" years, begin to think more seriously about our souls. Yet we do not always feel that we are capable of jumping directly into deep spiritual meditation. We can ease into a greater spiritual life, though, in two ways: by reading and by writing. This book, Mini Pleas, Prayers, Pondeeriings, and Praises: A Journal of Devotionals, offers 365 short readings. Each begins with a journal entry, often followed by either a Biblical reference, a remembrance, or a reference to a book, a song, or a prayer, and then ends with a short prayer. Every day offers a moment to speak to God.
About the Author
I am now retired from being a professor of English at North Central Texas College in Corinth, Texas. I received a BA in English from Sam Houston State University in 1953, taught a couple of years, married and raised five children, returned to school and received a Masters and a Doctorate in English with a Concentration in Rhetoric in 1979 and 1985 from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. I now reside in a small north Texas town with my husband and one big, lovable Golden Retriever.
