About the Author

Baylisia Ewing has a passion for diversity and a love for all people. Born in Trinidad and Tobago West Indies Baylisia knows first hand about cultural diversity. Trinidad and Tobago is home to a diverse group of people living on two sister islands. America and many other countries share the same experience except on a larger scale. " I am American" is the first of Baylisia's collection of Cultural introductions to young children and adults who are curious about ethnicities, professions and culture. The "I AM BOOKs" came naturally for Baylisia Ewing to write because she grew up in diversity and has lived in America for the past twenty years experiencing the beauty of Diversity in cultures and professions. It is Baylisia's wish that these books help everyone with some knowledge of who they are and help them in choosing what profession they may like by exploring "I AM BOOKS" Baylisia Ewing is the proud mother of many neighborhood children and four biological children Anderson, Aylisia, Chayil and Chyail. Baylisia also encourages reading wherever she goes. Baylisia is also a poet and songwriter who has lived with the effects of positive words and is now ready to share more of her writings with the reading world and encourage others to do the same. Baylisia Ewing lives in Norfolk, Virginia. A Fashion Designer and Entreprenuer and writer who loves writing for children. Baylisia spends all of her down time with her family and other families encouraging family reading times and enjoying nature and playing Monopoly and scrabble with her children.
