About the Book
"Nemo the Mole Rat" is a story of the woodland's animals struggling for survival against nature and human forces. The book is aimed for children ages 6-11 and for "young-hearted" grownups of all ages.
About the Author
About the Author: Samos is Amos Amir's nickname, given to him by his (10) grandchildren. Amos Amir was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, 1935. Amos's mother Anda was a well known poet who has won Israel Prize in children's poetry back in the mid 70's. Amos joined the IAF (Israeli Air Force) and served the force as a fighter pilot, Squadron Commander, Wing Commander and retired in 1983 as a Brigadier General. He then served as the Executive V.P. of El Al Israel Airline and later as the Director, Israeli Civil Aviation, and retired on 2006. His first book "Fire in the Sky" was published in Tel Aviv in 2000 by "MOD Publishing" and in London in 2005 by "Pen & Sword" Publishing House. Amos holds a BA in General Studies and Philosophy from the Tel Aviv University and an MSC in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. Amos is known as a nature-lover and his care for the environment. The original, Hebrew, book "Nemo the Mole Rat" was lately published by "Ophir Publishing" in Yahood, Israel, and is nowadays on sale in Israeli bookstores.
