About the Author

I am the mother of three grown sons who have amazed me during their lives so far and just like most parents i feel sure they will continue to do so. Our youngest son was born with developmental dyspraxia and dyslexia. He was totally word and number blind until the age of fourteen. He has a gifted IQ and these two things as far as school life and social life are concerned are two opposite ends of the educational and developmental spectrum. This story was written in order to give hope and understanding to any parent or teacher, child or medical professional. Any member of any family struggling with their lives today should read this book and remember that behind these terms and labels there is an individual who deserves our understanding and respect. This book is about a child who struggled from the age of three. It is the true story of his life at home and at school. The difficulties faced by all involved, educational staff, medical professionals, family but most of all him. The story takes us to present day, through a total of twenty one years. I currently live in Spain on a yacht with my husband and our youngest son. We have a very happy and full family life and we celebrate every day we are together.
