BING!!! “Cupcakes are ready” shouted mom excitedly. Brielle -Elaine peered over the counter as she watched her pull out the freshly baked, chocolate chip, double fudge, and extra chocolate cupcakes out of the oven. She just knew that after giving her new classmates these cupcakes they would definitely want her to be their friend. She waited until the cupcakes cooled to taste them. “Perfect mom, no one will be able to resist them. I will start tomorrow as a new student and leave as the most popular, all because of these cupcakes-----DELICIOUS!!!!” Mom smiled.

About the Book
Brielle- Elaine is transferred to Mrs. Willowry’s 4th grade class at Anaberry Elementary School in the middle of the school year. She assumes that by giving her classmates a tasty treat she will become very popular and have at least a dozen friends. After an accident happens with the treats, Brielle-Elaine is left to find a new plan to get her classmates to like her. Throughout this adventure, Brielle-Elaine tries to fit in with the different groups within her class. She discovers that pretending to be someone else is not as easy as she thought. In the end, she realizes that all she had to do was be herself. Follow Brielle-Elaine on this fun and exciting journey known as self discovery.
About the Author
La-Toya S. Facey is a charismatic elementary school teacher. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y and she currently resides in Pembroke Pines, FL with her daughter and her inspiration, Brielle. She graduated from Florida Memorial University with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. As a new author, her goal is to leave a lasting and influential impact on every child that reads her books. She is a firm believer that all children should have access to a GREAT book and she is dedicated in achieving that goal.
