Much of today’s world is living in a rush with no time to share, care and encourage others. In helping others we also help ourselves and are lifted out of our problems. I wonder how many times God would like to bring all of His children home to our church but doesn’t dare because of all the infighting, bad behavior and downright sin going on. No wonder some churches are just stagnating and have grown cold and stale. How discouraging for faithful members or pastors who try to bring some sort of life into these cold, indifferent churches. In the hospitality ministry that I do, I hear from so many dear people that have no where to go that they can feel safe from all the attacks Satan brings their way. There is such a hunger for righteousness. There is such a longing for real fellowship. Just when we are to be finishing up the work here on this small blue planet, there is all this hurt and pain that must be dealt with to bring healing to so many of God’s dear children. What part can we play? A very important one for sure is that we can be loving lovable Christians wherever we are and to everyone we meet. God has planted us in just the right place at just the right time to ready a place for Him to bring His children home!

The world watched and re-watched the havoc in the sky over Texas as before their eyes the space ship disintegrated. They were so close to home. These are stories of those who have heard, how they respond and how we are accomplishing “The Mission.” It is hoped that the reader will recognize just how you have been led by the Holy Spirit to fulfill your gospel commission.

Peggy Curtice Harris Background Peggy Harris is a laymember of the Beltsville, Maryland Seventh-day Adventist Church. She has presented Biblical Hospitality Seminars to Churches, federation workers and women’s retreats. She served on the national board for the Association of Adventist Women (AAW) as Director of Special Events, President Elect, President and Church Liaison. She developed the Woman of the Year for AAW. In 1992 Peggy developed and chairs W.A.S.H. (Women and Men Against Sexual Harassment and Other Abuses). This organization has produced materials for lay members and church leaders on the subject of abuse. The W.A.S.H. web site (www.w-a-s-h.org ) contains all the materials developed by W.A.S.H., links to other organizations as well as Biblical Hospitality. Writing has become an important hobby with production of a fellowship dinner manual for her local church. Published works include “Beginnings and Endings,” “Deaconess Ministry” published by www.adventsource.com, articles, poems for church periodicals, and devotionals for the Women’s Ministry devotional books.
