alcoholic learning to live sober. Her one year old romance ends,
custody of her teenage daughter is given to another family member,
her best friend suddenly dies of a heart attack , Lynn takes a new
job in a new location , hoping her life will improve. Th e week she
is to relocate she learns the new job has fallen through. Feeling like
an alien on a strange planet, she has no choice but embark on a
remarkable journey that she neither planned nor imagined. A kind
stranger, a twelve step program and God, all come to her rescue
one day at a time. She learns happiness is not a destination but a
journey. Amazing miracles transpire as she develops a spiritual
change. Remarkably she begins to reach out to help other women
like herself that need a safe haven and guidance while beginning

About the Author

I am a recovering alcholic , having lived sober for over nineteen years . In 2004 I founded a halfway house for women who wanted to live sober . Without any state or federal aid the halfway house has succeeded in serving over one hunderd twenty women today. When I sat down to describe the miracles that took place to achieve the building of the halfway house , I discovered my experience of living sober and beginning my new life was important in telling the story of the Discipleship House. This book describes the stuggles of living free from alcohol and drugs .The path God led me on was beyond my wildest imagination. The unfolding of a unlikely romance and coming full circle to establish a halfway house for women like me; who wanted a new way of life, is a remarkable journey. It is the story of hope, faith and trust. It is an inspiration for those who have personally suffered from alcoholism . It is a beam of light for family members and others who have felt the dispair of living with the alcholic. The message is applicable to all who suffer the stuggles of life, of losing one's way. Biblical scriptures are referenced to provide soundness of doctrine.
