Seventh Day Rest (Gen. 2:1-3) I believe that the biblical account of the creation of the heaven and earth in Genesis 1:1 has a dual reference, which refers to the “day one” creation in which all things were made, as well as the first “is as” 1,000 year day. The creation events in the rest of the six day creation account refer to the rebirth and replenishment of earth. At the end of each day of creation, except the seventh day, (Genesis 1:5, 13, 19, 23 and 31) it was stated that, “And the evening and the morning were the [number] day”, which I believe indicates that the day was a complete day, the evening and the morning, or 1,000 years. I believe also that the day began with “evening” and ended with “morning” relates perfectly to the lightless state of the earth at the time of Genesis 1:2, “… darkness was upon the face of the deep.”; a frozen earth resulting from the fact that light from the sun had been shutout for 3.1 million years. There is no such indication in Gen 2:1-3 of an evening and morning, or complete day that God rested. In the absence of scriptures we cannot be certain of a specific period of time. It could have been a literal twenty-four day or some period between a twenty-four hour day and 1,000 years. Moreover, time in its infancy may have evolved according to divine design and may have also been affected by the twisting of the time fabric. The phrase “is as” in (2 Peter 3:8) “… with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”, is used to distinguish infinity time from measurable time because they are not the same, and therefore, cannot be equally measured and compared. There is a double similitude in the phrase also which relates to measurable time of a twenty-four hour day as meaning a 1,000 year period. Infinity Time If we define “time” as the non-spatial continuum of experience in which events pass in apparently irreversible succession from the future through the present to the past, and “infinity” as the quality or state of endlessness or having no limits in terms of [measurable] time, space, or other quantity; Infinity Time is space in the absence of time. In conclusion, I believe the creation events happened according to the design of God and that the periods of time involved was integral to the re-birth and replenishment of earth. Time was allotted for plants to grow and mature to provide food for animals and man, and for flora and fauna, geological and atmospheric development necessary to sustain life on earth. God knew that Lucifer and his fellow angelic rebels would rebel against his divine authority and contaminate the old world: man, animals, plants and inorganic earth. The contamination was irreversible. The creations and effects of Satan had to be destroyed, hence God shut up of the earth from sun light as a frozen ball of ice for 3.1 million years. Much of the rest of the bible gives an account of how Satan has waged war against God’s creations through deception and lies, and God’s plan for restoration and salvation. The Twisting of Time Picture if you can a common sponge used to represent the fabric of time that has been folded and twisted in many directions, and frozen in that shape and condition. Unless it is thawed out and the tension on the sponge is released, you will not be able to accurately detect the original form and dimensions, but the mass of it remains the same. This example is a similitude of the affects of a twisting of the fabric of time.

About the Author
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Douglas M. Wicks, Sr. is an early baby boomer born in Prichard, Alabama. He was the youngest of five children born to his late parents, Charlie and Altha Wicks. After graduating from M. T. Blount High School, he attended College in Los Angeles, CA and received degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (M.A.), California State Polytechnic University (B.S.) and East Los Angeles College (A.A.). He is a divorcee with one child, Douglas M. Wicks, II. After pursuing a career filled with many personal triumphs and painful defeats as a professional Urban Planner, entrepreneur, and elected official in Mobile, Alabama, and many years of bible study and seeking the will of God for his life through prayer and fasting, he answered his call to ministry in 2004 after an encounter with the Holy Spirit who downloaded the revelation contained in this book that changed the course of his life. He faithfully taught in a prison ministry, at nursing homes and local churches in Mobile until the Lord called him to be ordained as an Apostle in 2008. In 2010 he began Spiritual Warfare Ministries, Inc., and began to hold weekly bible studies out of his office in Prichard, AL.
