The purpose of this book is to demonstrate, beyond any doubt, the reason for the execution of Jesus Christ. It will mainly be a review of the Gospel of Matthew with a comparison to the Gospel of John. The New International Version of the Bible will be used for citations, as it is a translation into everyday English. Reference will also be made to the other Gospels and some alternative Gospels. The method employed will be to isolate singular elements of His story and connect them with a single reason for His execution.
Everything will be stated in purely rational terms. Care will be taken to define important words and to avoid terms that are difficult to define. Some familiarity with the New Testament is assumed. Otherwise, traditional Christians, agnostics and others should feel they are on equal footing. It is essentially a logical argument.
A logical argument must always begin with a delineation of what is assumed to be true. The primary assumption of this book is that Jesus Christ was (and is) the one and only Son of God. Naturally, this will be troubling to many skeptics as well as those of different faiths. As a logical argument can't proceed only with those traditional Christians and others who merely feel this to be the truth, some justification for this assumption needs to be offered.

About the Book
The aim of this book is narrowly focused on answering one question: why was Jesus Christ executed? One of its mantras draws a distinction between an emotional truth and a rational idea. In emotional terms, every traditional Christian feels that Jesus Christ was innocent. However, in rational terms Jesus Christ was arrested, tried, convicted, and executed. There had to be a reason for that. It couldn't have been merely a charge of blasphemy.
Popular discussion is replete with warnings of the daunting challenges a modern world must face and the dire consequences of failing to meet them. Climate change,political and economic instability as well as ongoing armed confl icts all point to a need for a fundamental shift in human perception. The word apocalypse means'revelation' or 'the lifting of the veil.' That revelation must be the reason for the crucifi xion of Jesus Christ. What else could it be?
