About the Book
Body gestures are educational and interesting. There is so much information about this subject that one would never tired reading about it. “Speaking without words”, says it all. How would you be able to communicate with someone who cannot speak your language or better yet, how do you know what a person is trying to say to you across a room or in a handshake? Did you ever find yourself reading a menu and not knowing what to order? Maybe, because the menu wasn’t in English! What do you do? Use your body gestures. Be careful where you use your body gestures. Do not think that body language is translated the same in all parts of the world? A simple yes or no could mean something totally different in other parts of the world. Read the stories in this book about misinterpretation of body gestures and enjoy the book. Thank you for purchasing this book.
About the Author
Maritza Nelson’s, first book on body gestures is inspired by the need to teach others that communication can be done with gestures as well as words. Having been born in Cuba her first language was Spanish. When she left her country for political reasons she found herself in a world where Spanish was no longer the main form of communicating. Through many years of studying and schooling she felt the need to help others. Today, Ms Nelson teaches interpretation of body gestures at her center as part of her program.
