About the Book
Sissy and Me is a warm and loving story of two sisters learning about patience, tolerance and intentions of both younger and older siblings during those confusing and often frustrating times growing up together. Mom tries to help and inspire both daughters as they learn how to deal with the emotions of co existing without fighting or arguing. Paige the oldest, learns to have patience and enjoy the love that her little sister Chloe has for her through some simple life lessons and gentle reminders from mom. This book is written to help young preschool children and their siblings learn how to relate, find patience and feel love from confusing situations during those precious young years at home.
About the Author
Dianne Bassett Giehtbrock grew up in thesmall town of Novi, MI. She earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Education from Central Michigan Universitywith a Child development Major and a Reading Minor. After spending a few years teaching kindergarten in Florida, she returned Michigan where she met and married the first love of her life, her husband Eric. Eric and Dianne have two beautiful daughters together, the other two loves of her life,whom Dianne chose to stay home to raise. During that time, Dianne earned a Masters degree in Education from Central Michigan University. Inspired by her daughters, she decided to fulfill a life-long goal of writinga children’s book. She returned to teaching in 2011 in the Clarkston Community School District. She currently teaches preschool for the Funshine PreschoolProgram . In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, boating, gardening and playing with her husband and daughters on their lake. Dianne and her family reside in Clarkston, MI.
