About the Book

Michael, Jim, Tom and Dennis were four orphans they had no families. They were brought up in an orphanage. Hard work and poor food was their lot. They had no respect for authority. They felt unwanted by the outside world. They felt the world had deserted them and they felt everything they wanted was taken from them. Society did take everything from them. About the Author

John Finan was born in Charlestown Co. Mayo in 1953. His father was from Sligo and his mother was from Roscommon. John runs a family business, pub and shop, in Charlestown. He is married with one son, Joseph. His interests are writing, Irish music and Gaelic Football. His first book, A little bit of Ireland, is a list of short stories, fictional but the information was got from the local area where he lives. He received a diploma in creative writing from Kilroys's College, Dublin in 2003.
