About the Book

Danny Heron, a fifteen year old with much more to his past than even he knew, inherits a very special and powerful stone necklace for his birthday. But it brings him much more than a fashionable accessory. According to Tory, a teenage immortal who appeared in his room in the middle of the night, this stone is the source of power for all Light and Dark in the universe. Light and Dark battle endlessly, both wishing to attain the Stone, but unlike humans have been led to believe, the Light is evil. Tory and Danny race across the world, fighting Lights and mortals, trying to find the leader of the Dark society. They must reach him in time to destroy the Stone and defeat the Light, but to do so, it requires a great sacrifice by Tory.

About the Author

Xaniamare Redcry, born in, Lafayette Indiana on September 13, 1995, moved to southern Indiana soon after birth. She grew up in Trafalgar schools and became actively involved in color guard at the age of 13. Huge anime and manga fan, and lover of all small, fluffy, living things, she is an avid collector of decks of cards and quite artistic, convincing her father to let her draw on the walls of her room at age 14. During the years 2009-10 came many sleepless winter, spring, and summer nights. From so, came The Dark. Xaniamare currently attends Indian Creek Senior High School.
