Potions, quiet notions
Conceivable via
Love’s language
The day’s anguish
Released
With a rhythmic beat
pulsating with sensual heat
Contracting
Attracting
Pheromones
That we inhale
Exhale, allow to prevail
Diabolical prisms
Inappropriate jizzms
Yearning receipt of hisszms
How much longer can I wait
Before systems inundate
With Implosions of selves
I am yours for the taking.
Repeat… after waking.

intimate portraits
of skeletons
with only a brain
hiding behind the façade
a timeless aim.
I too wish to be self-contained
but within which self,
I timelessly seek to aim
because I can function
with only one
brain
at a time
so i am therefore
contained
to portraits of intimate skeletons
posing
as facades of my familiar.

About the Book
A sultry collection of neo-soul poetry (neosouletry), some true stories, some otherwise. Enjoy.
About the Author
La T has been intrigued with the written
word for most of her life, going as far
back as the poems she made for her
mother in elementary school.
She was born and raised in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, and attended Southern
University where she was exposed to
Spoken Word events around campus,
thus further falling for the art.
She is currently employed with a
Fortune 500 company and recently
Obtained her Masters of Business
Administration from Xavier University
in Cincinnati, Ohio.
La T had grown somewhat distant from
the written and spoken word due to
chores and commitments of everyday
life. She recently decided to get back
to simple pleasures, such as spending
time with her passion! In doing so, she
decided to publish a collection of some
of her works.
The selections contained herein span a
period of time of approximately 17 years
to date, inclusive of college writings,
up through her present day experiences,
vicarious or otherwise!
