About the Author

Robert Riggs, a career Marine, is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Later, in the Department of Defense Senior Executive Service, he served as the senior civilian logistician in the Marine Corps. A native West Virginian, he now lives with his wife, Marrea, in Winchester, Virginia. He is at work on two other novels, White’s Creek, a story of life in rural West Virginia during World War I, and Sakura, set in Japan and Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
