Judith Gupton Wiley, a native Delawarean, is a retired high school English teacher and guidance counselor. She received her B.A. in English from Howard
University, an M.A. in Urban Education from Catholic University of America, and an M.Ed. from the University of Delaware in Secondary School
Counseling. Her professional life has been dedicated to encouraging youth to "be the best that they can be in every aspect of their lives."
A sinceere believer that she is "blessed and gateful," Judi is committed to "giving back to the community" through volunteerism. Her volunteer
activities include programs that promote literacy and that advocate for "at risk" children. In 2010, she was one of the recipients of the Governor's
Outstanding Volunteer Award. In addition to being an actively passionate advocate for children in Delaware's foster care system, Judi does
international missionary work with children in orphanages. It was through her experiences with abused and neglected children that she was inspired to
write Something More Special. Judi's "mission" is to donate one copy of this book to each age-appropriate child whom she comes in contact with in the
orphanages where she feels honored to be of service. Also, for each book sold, Judi will donate an additinal book to a child in Delaware's foster care
