Good evening! I’m Marilyn. My parents are always saying they “Have a problem getting me to eat.” "Ridiculous", I say, "I eat lots of things – candy, cookies, cannoli, custard, and never once have I refused a dreamy, delicious cupcake!” Whenever I see a beautiful, butter-creamy cupcake, I just lose my mind! My Mom on the other hand, insists that I eat heart-healthy foods first. She offers me corn. We begin to negotiate, “How about candy corn?” I say. Then, she brings me a bowl of lima beans. I make her a counteroffer; “How about jelly beans?” She is NOT amused!

About the Author
Irene Agapion-Palamaris is a Mom who prepared herself for mealtime negotiations by working as a real estate broker for 23 years. She admits in Greek, Spanish or English that baklava beats beans any day, and cupcakes conquer carrots. Luckily, her 3 kids are willing to eat their vegetables! Along with her husband, George, she supports many children's organizations. Her 1st book, "Marilyn is Moving!", contributes portions of its proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. This is her 2nd children's book. She lives in Greensboro, North Carolina and secretly dreams of frolicking with frosted doughnuts!
