About the Book
Pain develops on each page of the past from the abuse to the neglect that bloomed into the angry demons of the mind that wishes for the death of everything that ever existed with one’s self. Pain and anger run from the depths of each poem as if a knife is being jammed into one’s chest. You instantly feel the pain that the author has felt from page one. Unable to reach beyond the destruction of self esteem as a child growing up feeling unloved and hated, the author pours her heart and soul into each word as she tries to discover the answer to her only question, WHY?
About the Author
Kristin Beckman was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 20, 1975. She has lived in several states throughout her life which include New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and currently she resides in Maryland and is currently a Police Officer. In 2004 Kristin published her first poetry book, I’ve Got Writer’s Block. She has been writing for approximately 24 years now. Most of Kristin’s poetry is based on her life growing up abused, depressed and feeling unloved.
