About the Book

Is it real? Is it a dream? Or could some place like this actually exist? In this day of struggles like the economy, unemployment, scandal, lies and all other words that fall under the descriptive words of negativism and disrespect, could there actually be a place to go that will offer the gift of peace in this lifetime? Step into the ideal world as the author dreamed it could be. “The Secret of Misty Mountain” offers hope for the future for anyone who wishes to accept it and its main character, Bob, is ready for that change. Bob is a simple, down to earth man that grew up in a small town in the heart of America. He never let go of his downhome values no matter where his lifetime travels took him. Bob is somehow intuitive to a special place out there, somewhere, that will give him peace in his life. This place also offers respect for all and you don’t have to fight to get it. During his venture to find out where or when he will find this wonderful other world, Bob makes special friendships and touches lives around the world spreading his message of peace through respect. The “mist” at Misty Mountain offers a special feeling that Bob has finally found what he knew was out there. He finally enters a whole new world and lives out his life peacefully with his dog by his side.

About the Author

My writing experience consists of a few letters to my sister. This is my first time at writing a book. After my stay in Alaska while serving in the U.S. Air Force, I moved to Omaha, NB for over 20 years. I had a dream and then had same dream again and knew I would have to write about this dream someday. Over 30 years later, I decided it was time to start my book in Reno, NV. Respect was a key word in the dream and I felt I needed to write about the importance of this. Could you imagine World Peace thru Respect? The magic mist and my imagination took over and the end result was my book. I need to get this published and out to the world and know the timing couldn't be more perfect than now. I mailed the first chapter to my brother in Kansas and he encouraged me to keep writing and waited impatiently for the next chapter. He died during chapter 5. My sister pressured me to keep writing and with her help and her daughters expertise, I kept at it. I moved back to my birthplace in Herington, KS in 2010 and finished THE SECRET OFMISTY MOUNTAIN. I have never married and enjoy sports, especially softball and bowling. The biggest reward of my life was from bowling. I was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000 at Omaha,NB. I am retired and enjoy traveling, watching sports and listening to the oldies on the radio.
