About the Book

This is the story of a twelve year old girl called Midge who lives in the seaside town of Eastbourne. When her cousins Zack and Zoe, who are twins, come to stay with her for the summer holidays the three of them get involved in an adventure. They meet up with Pru, the daughter of a film star who is making a movie in the town, and Catherine who likes to be called Cat.

But who is Ginger Cat?

About the Author

I have published three books. They are "Grannie-Annie's War", and "The Second Decade" which are biographical. Also a children's adventure story called "The Silver Knight". My next book is a sequel to that, called "Ginger Cat". I also write travel articles for a magazine called Visa.

I live in Eastbourne, East Sussex on the south coast of the UK. I taught in junior school for many years so have a feeling for the sort of story enjoyed by pre-teen children.

I am married and have three grown up children, two sons and one daughter, and now have seven teenage grandchildren (five boys and two girls). As well as my teaching certificate I have a B.A.(hons) in Humanities and Education, and an M.A. in Social history.

I now run an adult class in Social History once a month for Senior Citizens, and am the Chairman of The Ashridge Circle which is the largest lecture society in the UK.

I was also a Magistrate for twenty four years until I retired in 2005.
