About the Book

“Free To Be Me” was inspired from my day to day walk in this Life. There have been so many experiences, some of which impacted me to such a degree, I felt compelled never to forget, but to keep them in remembrance. I have yet to “see it all”, but truly I’ve seen and experienced enough to share with others, with the sole purpose of perhaps directing some lost soul to the Remedy of all the problems, sadness, brokenness and despair, that this Life brings.

About the Author

Darlene Humphries is a gifted, passionate Poet, who humbly accepts the title, but gives GOD only, all the glory! “Free To Be Me”, gives way to the colorful imagination of one observing Life’s reality, mixed with both the whimsical expression of humor as well as the sadness of heart that in truth, befalls each of us. She tells her “story” poetically, using some of her actual life experiences, in allowing her readers to visualize each memory as seen through her eyes. Throughout these pages, you will experience every emotion in the gain, loss, hope, failure, defeat, triumph, deceit and truth, all of which are vividly expressed in this beautiful story of “rhyme with reason.”

Her first publication, “Create In Me” is a wonderful compilation of Christian poetry, detailing both historical and present day living, designed to give hope and insight, in bringing into reality the awesome power and endless love of the Savior of mankind, Jesus the Christ. Each page is an uplifting, inspiring journey designed to bring forth the magnificent wonders and royal majesty of the Creator of the Universe, in a unique, yet comprehensive manner.
