About the Book

Majid was born and brought up in Africa, a continent where the super rich brazenly rubbed stolen wealth on the faces of the poor while the downtrodden endured agonizing hardships on a daily basis. Out of frustration and in his quest to travel to America, Majid gave up everything that was dear to him. America, he was told, was a land where streets were paved with gold and money grew on trees. It didn't matter to him if he ended up maimed, jailed, disabled or killed in the process of getting to the land of milk and honey. What else was he living for? "Born in Africa" is an expose of life in Africa, the wide gap between the rich and the poor, and the tales of a new African immigrant in America. About the Author

Charles Onyegbule Uzoaru,M.D. is a graduate of Columbia University, New York (1974), and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia (1977). He is a practicing Obstetrician/Gynecologist. His first novel, “Behind a Timid Mask”, was published in 2005. His book, “Road to a Happy Marriage”, was published in 2011.
