I was born in the mountainous Lori Province of Armenia during the Soviet period at exactly 4675 feet and 2.36 inches (this is not my height, don’t panic) above the sea level, and I was named after my grandfather Takvor, which means The King, this was decided even before I was born. Takvor is a very ancient traditional Armenian name. Perhaps last time used as a child’s name before my grandfather’s parents used to name him was in the seventh century. Because of this antiquity of my first name, my Mother told me that she was afraid when I will be a young man I will hate my first name. However, during my young years, it happens these days too all my friends greet me with the sentence Long Live the King. Is there anyone in the world who will dislike a name like that?
