While vacationing in Maine one rainy week, a girl and her mother take their dog for a walk through the downpours and discover a fairy caught in a spider's web. This fairy reveals the century celebration that the fairies of the world are celebrating this summer in Maine.

About the Author

I am a high school English teacher who always has loved the Celtic belief in the fairies, the beauty of New England, and a good story, so I wrote fairy stories for my daughter when she was younger. This is one of the stories I created. I also love taking photographs and painting, so I combined the two for the illustrations. As I walked through the woods in Maine, this story came to me, so I wrote it down.
