About the Author

Yanyong Thammatucharee is currently senior vice president of accounting and finance for a Thai group of retail companies. He began his career as an auditor and later served as a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand (C&L) in Thailand. He had worked for several companies in different industries ranging from Oil trading, textile, semiconductor, mass transit, and manufacturing industries. This includes a U.S. company, Emerson Electric, and a Japanese company, Panasonic under the position of plant controller and general manager of finance respectively. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, he has written a number of books on accounting, finance and management issues. He has a masters degree in accountancy from Thammasat University and is also a certified public accountant. He is also a guest writer for an English newspaper in Thailand. From time to time, he is invited as a speaker for seminars organized by Asia Business Forum.
