About the Book
This book was written to help young children grasp the concept of rime. The story has many repetitions and is meant to be read several times to help children anticipate and predict the next event. The book will also help reinforce the number sense and the appropriate math vocabulary.
About the Author
Marina Jones was born in Tbilisi, Georgia (former USSR) in the family of educators. Her mother was a music teacher and her grandmother was an elementary school teacher. Although Marina was trained as a concert pianist and went to graduate schools in England to perfect her art of piano performance, her heart was always in education and working with young children. She currently teaches third grade in West Springfield, MA and lives with her husband and two dogs in Shutesbury, MA. About the Illustrator - Tamara Guruli was trained as a doctor (cardiologist) and worked for many years with heart patients in the Republic of Georgia. Art is her passion and her hobby and she spends many hours a day relaxing with her canvas. She lives in Glen Allen, VA with her husband, her cat, and her youngest son, Gio.
