Running the Race I’m positioned at the starting point Waiting for the whistle to blow I’ve trained hard for this moment Though I’ve competed many times before See with a natural eye you would think I am running a natural race Sorry this one is a spiritual In reaching a particular place I’m in competition with some of the best competitors Sent from far and near What separates me from them all Is that the Holy Spirit resides here I’m coasting and my pace is just right In reaching my destination Almost there where my instructions await Then I maneuver to the next location Focused on the Father I thrive and keep this steady pace Out to complete this final round I’m focused on one face The Living God who enriches Motivates every step that is before me I’m nearly home with no one on my heals I’ve been set apart to reach my destiny Why I’m not Six Feet Under The world is wondering why I’m still here I should’ve been in my grave Instead I’m here with my Father Ministering to you this day You see an attack has been on my life Since the day I was born satan tried to use man To leave me angry and scorn But with my God’s present help I triumphed over mine enemies They tried to get close Said they’d be a friend to me Again this day I should be in my grave Ashes to ashes Dust to dust Here I am working for the kingdom My mission is a must Earlier in my life I made a pact with God That when I get out of my-self To reel me back in with his rod The chastisement is at times brutal Even too intense sometimes When He’s done with me The conviction leaves me wise It’s a reminder of the reasons why I chose to walk with Christ He is the reason for the seasons You see He saved my life Clearly I have no intension to throw in the towel Nor to be satisfied in my grave This is my mission to show others What the Lord has made It’s a Celebration New life found me Now it’s time to celebrate I had many mountains to climb And your story I can too relate I’ve been through the storm It was very rough Jesus brought me out Somehow made me tough On both the inside And the outside too Without his guidance Don’t know what I’d do I’ve been through the rain It left me with a lot of tears When Jesus showed up He hid all my fears I’ve been on the battle field Left to defend myself When Jesus showed up There were no enemies left I’ve been on the front line Bruised, scarred and left for dead When Jesus showed up with his promise Evil could not arrest my head I’ve been humiliated Mocked and laughed at When Jesus showed up He spoke “At my right hand you shall set” I’ve been justified A mantle now placed at my feet When Jesus showed up He spoke “Greater things shall you reap” I’ve watched you grow Now you’ve been approved I stand with you in all battles No way you’ll ever loose

About the Book
My book titled When Your Destiny Can’t Be Broken is designed for readers who have gone through both spiritual battles and emotional conflicts in their personal lives. The poems that I share with the readers are reflections of my own past hurts and suffering. I also go on to share moments of humiliations, shame and pain from the lives of other’s whom I’ve encountered in my life time. The Holy Spirit would bring events to my rememberance and would have me to write about them so that other people would not feel alone and abandoned in the midst of their suffering. Healing, deliverence, salvation, confession, utterance, and true worship in the name of Jesus Christ is the center of each poem whereby the person who reads this can and will find love, joy peace in the presence of the Lord. It’s their opportunity to seek out a relationship with Jesus for themselves and learn how and why the Son of God came to earth to die for the world. Understanding the concepts of biblical principle as it correlates with definition allow you the reader to tap into the true message of each poem.
About the Author
She’s been there before! She knows what it feels like! “She say I understand your pain.” She can share with you in this season of her life the many trials that came to destroy her life and her ministry, the turmoil that would try and destroy the mind set of her children, and the enemies ploys and plots that wished to destroy her name. When she called on the name of Jesus and vowed to serve him in spirit and in truth her life would never be the same. She has been made whole and her mind strong. Her relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created a woman who can now witness and sing praises about the Goodness of Jesus and how his spirit, love and compassions reigns upon the lives of her, her children and her husband.
