About the Book: The story is based on the real adventures of Santa Claws, a hermit crab adopted from the local beach store by a boy named Juston. Santa Claws creates many surprises for Juston and his family while they learn to live together at their beach condo in Amelia Island. About Hermit Crabs: If you decide to adopt a hermit crab, remember they need love and care like any other animal. They are very sociable and like to be with other hermit crabs. They will even chirp and croak when talking to other crabs. They are nocturnal which means they like to play more at night than during the day. As Juston finds out, they are very good climbers!

About the Author

The author is a mother of three boys, Hampton (13), Preston (11) and Juston (7) who enjoys visiting Amelia Island with her family for vacation several times a year. She wrote this book based on the input from her son Juston as he found Santa Claws and learned more about living with hermit crabs as a pet.
