About the Author
Since moving to California, she decided that it was time for her to learn to cook, to create memories for her son in the same way that her Mom has created those food memories for her when she was growing up. She began to compile the recipes of her Mom, her family and friends. This cookbook is really a beginner's cookbook. Her goal is help any career woman who has switched “jobs” from the corporate boardroom to the kitchen or anyone who is just learning to cook. And especially for those who wants to cook a healthy wholesome meal for their family. She has included some very basics recipes like French toast, egg sandwiches, toasted ham and cheese sandwich, pot roast, potpie and soup. They are the foundational dishes that she felt one must learn to cook. For then we will taste the difference between home cooked and store bought. She would like to help those just learning to cook overcome their beginner's dilemma. Why is she the best person to write this cookbook? She loved to eat. Her worldwide travel on her job took her to many countries. She would always try something at least once. Her discerning taste buds were always in search of good and wholesome meals when she was travelling. But when it was her turn to cook, she told herself that surely she can recreate those gourmet dishes that she indulged in. So, when there is a will, there is a way. So this is her way of sharing the culinary journey started only five years ago from many daunting taste bud moments to gastronomic bliss.
