“Yes, what now?” Creator answered his telephone. Anger masking relief at having an interruption to deal with. “Atlantis has been destroyed,” Gabriel’s voice explained nervously. “How?” Creator wondered why Gabriel was always nervous. “The humans discovered several ways of destroying the planet,” Gabriel was happy to pass the buck on to what Creator believed was the very best of creation. “The planet is still orbiting its sun, but it has reverted to the gaseous entity it started life as.” This conversation starts a chain of events and thoughts intended to revive Atlantis.

The book imagines that a number of planets support life similar to that on earth, and one has been destroyed by the human race. The Creator decides that the planet should be revived, and the book follows the actions and thoughts of the gods involved in the regeneration.
