I earned my degree from God's University.
As with any child, my school years stretched out in front of me endlessly.
One day I expressed that to my father, who immediately answered, “you are just beginning”. That certainly was a prophetic word. Little did I know the schooling I was to receive as I made my journey through life, would not always be in a school room with an instructor, but as stated in Jeremiah: it would bring me to “an expected end”. Neither did I realize what would be involved in my spiritual education. My hardest lesson would be to forget who I thought I was and find that “secret place” in Him. I was about to learn the diversity of God's teaching methods.
Even in my young life, I was about to enter the halls of learning in one of God's highest ranking Universities. Not high ranking because of it's stature in the world at large, but because of the “singleness of purpose” practiced in this institution of learning. The Greatest teacher of all was about to use these life experiences to transform my desires into what David referred to in Psalms 27:4
“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.”
Only the Master knew what I needed to learn, that would guide me on the path I was to follow. he difficult path to the Secret Place

About the Book
It was as though I had been raised in a family of royalty. I thought horror stories were only written in books, they were not about real people. My world was a wonderful, happly place. After being raised in a small river town, it sounded exciting to take a congregation in a big city! After all, this was what we were supposed to do. Little did I realize the calamity that was ahead. Then once I was in the fog of heartbreak, it was like being in a burning house with no way of escape. But God had a plan. Quoting from the Holy Bible, "Out of the bitter came forth sweet." My survival was by staying hid "In the Secret Place."
About the Author
Because my family has always been involved in ministry, I believe my life story will be encouragement to those who read it. Also, I see the need for this type of book because of those to whom I daily give both spiritual and physical assistance. My father became the pastor of a small congregation which he pastored for 40 yrs. My story is about my husband, who was also a pastor, who lost his way in life, causing heartbreak and trauma in our family of six children. The end result was my second oldest had to begin pastoring our little church when he was 16 years old. We were literally ripped apart for many years, my husband abandoned all of us, but by my total dependence on God, he finally brought healing to me and to my children whom my husband abandoned.
