About the Book

This is Meltdown's second adventure. Meltdown escapes from his backyard while his owner is sound asleep on his sofa for his afternoon nap. On this adventure, Meltdown finds himself in front of The White House. Come inside The White House with Meltdown as he and the President's dog play in the different rooms. This book is suitable for children age 4-8 years old.

About the Author

This is Linda Beasley's second children's book based on Meltdown, a border collie that escapes from his yard. This series evolved as Linda told Meltdown's stories to her oldest niece. Linda grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. Her father worked at The White House from 1952-1977. As a child, Linda was able to attend Christmas Parties held at The White House during President Johnson's administration. Although Linda was very young she still has memories of these parties. She was able to visit The White House quite often and was pulled out of line by her father to be taken to parts of The White House not normally allowed public access. Linda was able to see the Oval Office for the first time in 1989, during a special tour for previous White House Employees and their families.
