About the Author
Irene Carter is a local mother of four from Reading in Berkshire. She is a grandmother to 8. Since becoming a grandmother, Irene has shown a greater interest in the environment in which they are living in and has used stories to encourage them to learn and understand the importance of ensuring they put the litter in the rubbish bins provided and of the recycling of the litter in the correct way to help the environment as much as possible. The aim of her stories is to show younger children of school age that litter in places where animals live can be dangerous to the smaller creatures that live there and how they can help by making sure that they always remember to take their rubbish home with them or put it in the bin before they leave after their visit to different areas.
